Interesting!! Pfizer-Warner seal deal 5:37 p ET Warner-Lambert and Pfizer reached an agreement to merge, according to sources quoted by Reuters. Under terms of the proposal, Warner shareholders will receive 2.75 shares of Pfizer stock for each Warner Lambert share they own. Pfizer and Warner-Lambert are reportedly still negotiating with American Home Products, which had previously agreed to merge with Warner-Lambert. This is an interesting article about taxes and the january effect. Since I sold for some profit in early jan, the estimated tax has me a little concerned.
