Hi Bernie,

How's the UOPIX roller coaster treating you? Feels like I'll be riding that sucker for quite some time. Enough volatility and action to suit even the most fearless AIM cowboy, but UPOIX's artificially high volatility probably would have driven Mr. Lichello to write a revision of his tome.

Still hoping I can get to the AIM May get-together in Vegas. It would be nice to meet you, Tom and all the other AIM regulars, but I do understand the call of family. It's nice to have a lot of great choices like those you refer to.

Hi Bernie, We'll either meet in May in Las Vegas or here in Port Washington whenever you get back this way.

My Sunguard Data (SDS) popped off a GTC Sell order ($31-5/8) at the end of last week - right in the middle of all the gloom. SDS had suffered a bit from the Y2K fears last year. It provides very complex software to brokerage houses for their internal accounting as one aspect of their business. Sales dried up for about 1-2 quarters, but seem to be coming back nicely. The stock hit a low of about $18+ late in 1999, so it's up over 50% from its lows. AIM's been a good guide along the way.

Best regards, Tom
