Charles - re: I doubt they're "far cheaper." Correct - many people make the mistake of looking at base system price when thinking about high availability configurations, but it just ain't so... by the time all of the work to achieve a 99.9% or better avaiability number is achieved, the hardware cost is only 8% or so of overall system cost, and so even if the base hardware price was vastly different (which it is not), the installed cost would not be much different.
