Roy until the Fed makes it's decision institutional money is not going to come flowing into this sector in bulk. Look at the volume, on average it's pretty light across the board.

It's been stated that this sector can really only be moved by fund buying vs individuals.

Mid day profit taking is not surprising.

If you want to sell XTO near what will soon be a 52 week low...go for it. I actually feel a little better about my XTO investment given your sentiment.

Rory - that is BLASPHEMY ! and you are hereby fined 100 shares of XTO !

... shame, shame on you (VBG).

Keep the faith - we are steadilly compressing our own little coiled spring here; fundamentals are building like steam in a tea pot - wall of worry is 10 feet tall and the OPEC meeting is only a few weeks away...

Patience my son.

Post OPEC meeting to end of April/1st of May will see 30-50% sectorwide run up - bank on it; it is going to happen & it happened last year; with less of a wall of worry and much, much less favorable commodity prices !

Actually Rory, I'm not that disappointed with today's action. I would be if I owned THE institutional lovebird, aka, SLB. Most of my stuff is doing ok today, I ain't complaining. I think Jim L. is onto something with institutional dumping into strength before the fed reports.

Here's to hopin' the greenster don't beat our brains in today. <g>

Re, SESI, I figure there is enough early cycle stuff in there to really help them over the next 2 qtrs., but I wouldn't chase it. Still, the volume's been building the last few days. I'll try to hold til 9.
