Goldman Sachs has been saying for sometime that AMZN can turn a profit anytime it wants. Just a matter of redoing the books and balancing short-term vs the long.

Having been bestowed Man of the Year by Time, Bezos probably feels that he owns the world - his loyal shareholders as well - a small gift of humanity. <g>

They are saying what the street wants to hear - buzzwords like "driving efficiency, productivity enhancements, leveraging cross-selling, etc.

AMZN is trading off the high a bit but will gap up big in the morning. My guess is that the MMs are likely to open this thing up high to protect themselves. There should be an order imbalance as momentum takes over and shorts cover. Selling at the market on the open with the MMs would seem to make sense. Discussion?
