To Mark ,Ed, Appro,and The Bovine [if I may be so personal ] who so kindly helped me find a solution for my freezing Presaio.

After going to the Compaq web page and finding their instructions too complex for this neophyte. I called tech support. He walked me through increasing "free system resources" from 47% to 87% . The problem appears to be solved. Thanx again for all your help.
