My favorite part of that presentation (http://commerce.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.asp?order_code=59MC24B&customer_id=04&keycode=6W300) is the 256meg RDRAM option (add $960 for 128meg extra) You think you could order it sans the stock 128meg RDRAM for $960 off, which would be about 40% of the base purchase price, for the 667 system? Or, you could buy a nice, more or less equivalent, Gateway Select Athlon 700 system base price $240 less, get the extra 128meg in SDRAM for $250, or just get it elsewhere for $120 or so.

You got to wonder about the corporate purchasing departments going out and buying machines with RDRAM in them, maybe Intel is quietly doing them a favor with the cumine shortage.

Cheers, Dan.
