High leverage to gold (and copper)

In a report on its website dated January 20th, Inmet Mining (T.IMN) mentions that for every US$10 increase in the price of gold, its earnings and cash flow increase by .09 cents.

Since the third quarter, when Inmet posted a profit of .22 cents (for the quarter), gold hs climbed by about US$30 .

The report also states that for every US .10 increase in the price of copper its earnings and cash flow increase by .25 cents a share. Since the third quarter copper has climbed about 10 cents.

Not bad for a mining company trading between $2 - $3.

Surprisingly (?).. Yahoo research rates it as the #4 metal mining investment... above Inco, Tek. and Falconbridge.
