your points are valid and well taken!!

the recent increases in dot.com and wireless stocks have dimmed the prospects of almost all other investments.

why hold geac when you can buy RIM, or SW, etc. and double/triple your money in a matter of months.

with the recent management change, the acquisitions over the past year, the y2k fiasco (nothing really did happen, except for the fact that i have extra canned goods and bottled water), inexperienced investors are no longer willing to ride it out with good quality stocks anymore. quick money is what most people want.

i am taking small steps in buying back into Geac because i honestly believe that the street is wrong. that said, i am still a little cautious because i have been burned with this stock in the past thinking it cannot go any lower. i posted that i bought at 24.90, then again at 20.95, now trying to get in at 19.10; what next??

if this goes lower i'll likely take a breather to wait for Q3 figures to come out. this stock will take time to gap back up and much has to do with management getting their house in order.

in terms of whether management should comment on the downward pressure of the share price? i don't think that is necessary as they have more to worry about than what investors think about the company's stock price...i wold much rather see management focus their efforts on making this company work so that the share price will move up on the company's merits.

right now, the market is saying Geac has done little..but by reading your points i believe they have accomplished wonders.

we shall see!!!
