Juli:

The "fuel cells" certainly seem to have a bright future, but it seems it is still going to be sometime in coming.

If you are interested take a look at the article on January 24th this year:

businesswire.com

Most of the companies on this field are still in the developmental stage and are not yet public. Some of those working on that subject are: Analytic Power; BCS Tech.; TRL; Power Ball Tech(from Salt Lk in Utah); Plug Power; Globe Tech.Inc; Hydrogenics; H Power Corp.; Innovatech; Fuel Cell Tech; ElectroChem; and a few others.

I believe of the ones that are "public" the leader is Ballard ( BLDP ) which has done well in the past two months (Mid-twenties in December to the January 24/2000 H of 86 1/2. Today it has being doing well with intra-day Hs at 1.22PM and 1.24PM of 75 1/2 {and still better at 2.15PM with an up-tick to 75.812 on volume of 9,100) as I have been writing this.

The other public is IDACORP Tech. (IDA) which has a division (North West Power) which is working on fuel cells.

You can also look at the report from the last convention in New Orleans last December 1st (Power-Gen Intl.)

Here in Forida we have a couple of companies which are not yet public: DAIS Corp, from Odessa, FL which is doing some work in cooperation with the Center for Automatic Technologies at Rensselaer Polytech. Inst. in Troy, N.Y.

And also closer to my back-yard Co.Power at Boca Raton, Fl.

As you probably know, there was a good article about fuel cells on the July 1997 issue ot Time Magazine and it has been estimated that the "market" for fuel cells may surpass that of computers in 20 yrs or so. (They have estimated from 19 to as much as 200 billions annually by the year 20025.

Unfortunatedly I don't expect to be alive by then.

Sorry to make this "posting" longer than I was planning on Jim's thread.

Good luck to you

Bernard

I like OIL (Triton Energy) mainly because it is a Don Wolanchuk recommendation.
