Bob thanks for your responses, charts, etc, which I've bookmarked. One explanation is possibly that this move has caught everyone unawares - the broad market hasn't fallen - so many investors who might normally sell and switch haven't - it's a question of timing and logistics.

It is interesting to note that the last time we had a gold bull market of any duration, from early 85 to the end of 87, if I'm reading your charts correctly, the XAU lagged significantly behind POG for most of the first year.

To thread: Excellent posts this weekend. Just when it appeared GPM had hit bottom (hopefully like the POG), it makes a dramatic comeback.
