John, call it realistic. If the market cooperates, I don't see Intel going below 100 again. With W2K, Itanium buzz, 1 Gig
buzz, lower costs for increased gross margins, a cyclical upturn in PC sales, new businesses growing at 50%, flash HOT,
well, I guess I'm optimistic.

John,

I'd sure like to see a few more weeks like this one again. I love going to the week-end on an all-time high close. I think that 93 test last Friday was the last of the two digit prices - at least until the next split. Remember last June when we tested the low 50's and then took off? Is the rocket about to take-off again? I'll be VERY happy if we're near 150 by the end of the year but any more will be quite acceptable too. I think the 50+ PE is much more realistic but it does feel heady for one used to much lower climes. I can get used to it.

Your 39.95/mo cable modem situation sounds great to me.

I'm being installed on DSL this coming Monday, but the best I can hope for, because I'm 16,300' from the phone co., @ 69/mo is 144k but that's better that the 36.8-44.4k I've been on. My cost will be the same as now paying because, I'm dropping two isp's and a dedicated phone line.

MY cable company (latest ownership is by Adelphia) gives no clue as to when internet acess will be available.

I have no other options that I know about so I hope I like the DSL.

Did you have a choice?

Tony - Are Northpoint and Covad competitors? My new ISP, InternetConnect, works with Northpoint.
