JNB,

Hopefully someone else on the thread can help you as I don't understand how to configure hubs at all!

Sorry!

Sue :)

Still don't work, I tought by having the 2pc and laptop connected at least one of the pc would see each other but no!!! Now What? my configuration must be right since any 2 pc can work together and modem share.

I am confused. Are you saying when you have 2 PCs and the laptop connected to the hub none of the computers can access the other computers on the network or are you saying you still have very slow data transfer? I am trying to figure out if you are describing two problems or one problem.

I found one suggestion supplied by others on why your system is so slow in transferring files when connected to a hub.

"This sounds like a duplex issue. If both PC's are set to full duplex then they will transfer information between them very quickly. The problem appears when you insert the hub. A hub is a half duplex device. You will have to set (force) your cards to 10 or 100 and half duplex. This should do it. I personally do not care for Auto Detect it has burned me in the past."

I don't have any suggestions on why you can not access the other computers on your network when you connect three computers to a hub but you can when you only have two computers connected to your hub.
