They want to make money off SI, and so they should, we can't begrudge them that.
But this way of screwing up in the process functions as basic as ascii and searches and legibility is just really stupid ... now i understand Dilbert cartoons, which aren't so funny after all.

I'll be on the go2net site after they kill SI, assuming that it will for a time remain a centre of friends made on SI ... only until they make thoughtcrime a termination offense, though - i've promised to stay off the go2net cult threads [there were nine of them as early as last summer!] until the day they snuff SI, but after that will feel free to express my opinion of the quality of their management's decision and the dismal prospects for their share paper.

I'm spending more time on other sites already though, have been for some time as the spirit has been getting ground down on SI ... of them all i have the highest hopes for marketspirit, it is the closest in feel to Early Dryer SI, with some of the same people there already ... there are some advantages to stockwatch, the ability to load a whole thread and the specialisation in canadian stocks, but for general market discussion and goofing around, a person wants a more international forum .... on intelligentspeculator and stockhouse you can post charts and tables, though the latter is often called stockhype for good reason, lol ... between the slow loading and ads and washed-puke background i just can't get interested in ragingbull, but there are surprising numbers of sentient beings on some threads there believe it or not, and you can access it through altavista to get a plain-white background, it may improve further, who knows.

This will be my browser home page until the moment they kill it, though ... cheers to ya, Phil ... marcos
