Jon....I agree with you that a Co. may want to take their OS "in house" to cut costs. Especially in the kind of market that a music player is geared for (tons of competition and price conscious consumers). However you say that an OS that you develop would probably not be patentable. Does that mean that yours would infringe on an existing patent? Have you seen edig's patents? Are they very far reaching in your opinion? Can they be worked around? I guess time will tell and I am willing to bet that this stock will achieve much higher levels in the meantime.

It seems the point/counterpoint on EDIG's technology has been moved up a notch. Unfortunately, at this moment, the SciFi channel's got too good a movie on for me to get wrapped up in it all right now.

More to the point, however, I'm really not a techno-type dude and for me to respond to any of this requires much too much time and research, as was necessary for me when I responded to CM Burns' technical arguments. So count me in for a chipshot here and there and I'll let others more technically versed than I be the respondents to Jon Tara's criticism. Like I wrote earlier, he's a valued critic.

But before I retire to my movie, let me first quote Jon and then reiterate something I wrote earlier.

Jon Tara:

>>>"I will do it for $200,000. I will get somebody to help me, and it can be delivered in 6 months. That is my only and final offer. :)

"I cannot, however, promise that it will be patentable. In fact, I suspect that it wouldn't be, as the technology is already well-known. I will be happy to include a copyright registration in the $200,000 cost, though."<<<

You see, Jon, I told ya you could get some work out of this. But I think what I wrote earlier is the better way to do it.

PartyTime to Jon Tara:

>>>Without absolute certain knowledge, I suggest you not dismiss EDIG's technology based on the obvious condition that lots of engineers have worked and are working on this kind of stuff.

Given that you live in San Diego, and Fred Falk, Robert Putnam, Woody Norris or Skip Matthews are a local telephone call away, how 'bout getting in touch. Hey?

I think that if you describe yourself as a public critic on EDIG's investment board forums, I'm sure that one or more of 'em would be happy to meet with you. Who knows, you may come away from such a scenario with new work, certainly a better understanding of EDIG's technology and what it hopes to accomplish in the future.<<<

Indeed, Jon. Do it my way and you just may walk away with more than the 100,000 or 200,000 RK might offer you--LOL! But who knows, you might come up with a T-Jam to compete with the I-Jam.

Now back to my SciFi movie. It's about--you guessed it!--alien beings.

Not patentable...?

I wonder why that is?

Oh..maybe INTC, IBM and MSFT ran into the same tiny hurdle?

and I must say...your ramblings on about what consumers want, and how you would make the financial decisions, legal decisions...is amusing.. you are a "full service" engineer.. who has "quite the talent of "looking back."

lol......you may know your software coding...but you might be out of touch...with what the consumers of the future want. just maybe! ...but I see that alot in my line of work....engineers who want to sell what they can make...and who completely miss the boat about the future. Someone told me it is a left brain/right brain thing...
I personally think it is a "half a brain" kind of thing.

laugh...Mary
