Morning, croc!

We need to study and learn from history, not constantly relive it.

Ammo recently had something happen to him that was very hurtful. (He's really had a lousy month-one of those periods when everything you do seems to get you smacked in the face). My desire is to go kill the boys that hurt him after I tell them how they are talentless, stupid and ugly and will wind up in homeless shelters. I'd like to call their parents and tell them what little shits their kids are and how they ought to lock them up in their basements permanently.
But I can't change the hurt or the results. So the parenting challenge is to help Ammo learn how to best deal with it, try to look at it from their perspective (if someone with an IQ in double digits can have one) and see if he can understand what they were thinking, (as if they were, the little creeps) learn from it, (how not to be a jerk yourself) and move away from it. (never talk to them again, and beat them at everything you do)
Just kidding about the parentheticals.
And lest you think we are unrealistic, we talked about justifiable anger, and protecting oneself from people (characterless, immature, lying assholes)

This was supposed to relate to to your comment about holding on to the past, but I think I just wanted to let off steam.
