Actually, even before Sun knocked off MTS and its object oriented transaction system to create EJB, you could use Java to write MTS components. Microsoft, through the automatic COM/DCOM bridging available in their implementation, allowed you to easily write transacted MTS components using the standard Java language. Of course, the threat to Sun from this innovation was likely part of the reason they sued Microsoft. I haven't taken the time to look at any of your other posts. If you're already strongly biased against Microsoft and towards Sun, this information may not be relevant to you.
