Gosh, I'd not have sounded so critical if
I'd known it was your personal website,
careless of me.

Well I guess a place to start is the lists here
on SI--but they are way out of date...for example
Genomic Database:
techstocks.com
pathetic, where are Sequenom, Celera, Hyseq, Curagen,
Gene Logic, Genset--just for starters.

Maybe there is nothing really to work with here on SI.
So, how about catagories by science? Sea Otter threw
out the biggest sector, monoclonal antibodies. And how
about chemistry, or chemical genetics, signal transduction?
Gene Therapy of course, with subcatagories by vector or
target disease? Antisense. Neurobiological.

This is too tough a job for me by myself to tackle--and for
what purpose are whe characterizing them? The biotech guys here
on SI have in the past put them into baskets based on how
they were being valued at the time (cheap a few months ago)
--many portfolios were set up last year when nobody
loved biotech, these baskets have performed spectacularly.

The exercise is too big for me, I could try chemical genetics
--this could take a couple weeks, but I can give it a go.
