Thanks for that. I was worried all weekend that I was finding patterns to Sell this morning yet I knew you were Short so something was out of whack.

Hi OJ,

I'll try to remember to do that. I mainly follow the Vix in relation to the Bollinger Bands, which I've found to be a better overall guide than a specific value for Vix itself.

The problem with VIX just hitting the lower band is that it can move down still.

What you really want to see is a VIX reversal - hits the band and reverses strongly.

Even better, as I posted in my chart last week - is a Gap down and then a strong reversal.

Last 4 times it did this, and was confirmed by increased VIX the next day... the SP cash traded down in a narrow range/inside bar in some instances. The following trading day was down as well. 100% reliablity dating back to July 1999, I've not got enough VIX data to show and backtest going back earlier.

I'm short the SP and enjoying it...
