Jacques - Re: "Intel acquisitions fortify future network role" From CNNFN. No real big news here"

Thanks for the URL - it's a GREAT ARTICLE.

Allow me to differ with you on your "No real big news here" comment.

I think this is REALLY BIG NEWS simply for the fact that the author, April Jacobs, has eloquently put together a superb analysis of Intel's expansion into the communications arena and how it will (hopefully) provide excellent growth outside the Microprocessor area.

We are generally bombarded by the Om Malik (Forbes) and Mike Kanellos (C NET) articles which describe Intel as a failing CPU company and a wannabee communications company.

The CNN/April Jacobs article is like a breath of fresh air - a journalist looking at the true POTENTIAL (yes, AMDroids, Intel also has POTENTIAL !!) of Intel in fast growing areas outside basic CPU design/manufacturing.
