NT to be part of the S and P Global 100 index (large cap of course). It is one of 3 Canadian stocks to be included (Alcan and Seagrams are the others).

For a while it will simply be a benchmark but at a later time funds mirroring this index are expected. I take that is a sign that people should be loading up on the stocks that are expected to be included.
It certainly simplifies investing for a global mutual fund or individual that wants this diversification. One can bet global funds will start to buy stocks that make up this index. I am looking for a lot of new funds to start buying stocks to track the index. It also makes it easier for individual investors to buy a fund that would probably have a lot lower management fees, resulting in better performance.

Should help NT just a little bit going forward. Sometimes a little bit is all that is really needed to go to much higher levels.

Maybe some more good new out of Cisco tonite will help NT along in the coming days.

good luck
