Sonki. I did not sell WLA again. I sold the rest of my holdings today. The first batch went when I heard of WLA's announcement of buying AHP and then this run around with PFE. I fig. it would be a fairly long back and forth and I'd better cash in and reduce my margin at the same time. The first scenario was wrong. It did not take long but I did reduce my margin. gg. Had I waited another month with my first sale, I could have picked up another 5 per share by waiting. I sold the rest today when I heard that the 1.8 bln WOULD be paid to AHP. I have been listening to things in the meantime. Generally I listen first and then act but I have been burned a cpl of times now by waiting when things change. Anyhow. Yes, I am pretty sure that this will be a power house. They do have wonderful drugs. Lipitor keeps my cholest. in check and Viagra may be of use to me some time in the future. If I were not on margin, I probably would have waited this out. After some of my fiascos within the last year, I am now faster on the trigger when it comes to changes or earnings surprises on the down side. Heaven only knows why I have not lightened up on Dell. It better not come through with worse earnings than already forecasted. What's that last thing M.D. just put money into? I know it had nothing to do with technology.

I have not heard of anyone else selling PFE/WLA on this thread. Not everyone is on margin. You got rid of your margin already so you should be in good shape. Just keep an eye on that merger. Like I have mentioned the other day to someone. Big mergers have been mostly a disaster for my portfolio. Some have turned out well but like I said, most of them took a long time to be profitable. But as long as those mergers are in telecoms and techs/internet, I am holding out unless something bad comes down the pike.

Yes. I do remember that you had a hard time warming up to the drugs and then you got the whole lot. gg. Again. Just keep an eye on this merger. It should be working out fine. GOV stuff relating to drugs does not seem imminent. I still have Merck and I will keep an eye on WLA/PFE for reentry. I guess the company will keep the name of PFE. Hm. Who knows, one of these days drugs may be the only safe growers. We are growing older but want to live longer and stay younger and healthier. gg. So drugs are still in.

Sheesh. Did you hear that Yahoo had a cyber attack? It was off for sev. hours today. The COO mentioned that there will be an investigation. Nothing serious happened to the site. Those attackers just bombarded Yahoo with an overload and the site could not handle the onslaught. Yahoo believes that their backup system will work better in the future. I guess they put more power to it. At one point today I thought my Yahoo stock would go into the tank. But it recovered.

How about those Semis? What a great move in Intel.

Sonki. Here is an article on WCOM. It includes that worry talk by WCOM investors which I mentioned to you a cpl of days ago. WCOM had downplayed this scenario of losing business from AOL due to the merger with TWX some time ago and here they mention again that business with AOL is actually expected to rise.
