mike, i don't even know where to begin addressing your obviously emotional response. i never said that the tbill was better than "equities."

do you know how long it took rca to recover its value after the 1929 peak? 30 years, my friend. will you be alive then for 0% return? did that market top outperform bonds for that 30 year period?

many equities are good values right now. their future earning potential blows away a 6.5% return over 10 years instead of having a tbill pound its return into the ground by 200%.

i own a number of them. as of late, some have become expensive and i am planning on selling a number of them. why? when the big, bloated stocks "correct" (and you better not hope to rational levels as most qcom investors and other investors would be broke), they will shoot everything and ask questions later.

what about the guy who bought qcom 50-60 points higher and on marginmike? seems you have colored glasses.

there is a latin expression for folks who can't debate and ISSUE so they attack the MESSENGER. do you know what it is?

i'll leave you with those math challenged folks who make you feel "good" about your decisions.

btw, it isn't like i insulted your girlfriend/wife by saying her looks were overrated. or did i ;-)

margin,

The reason NO ONE listens to skeeter is because when one looks at the returns over time of equities -vs- bonds, then the debate is OVER! Period. End of story. Know what I mean Vern!

But hey, whatever, go buy a shovel and bury some money....
