Well, it's not just GATA that is questioning the numbers these days. Around 3 weeks ago, The Federal Reserve noted how ALL Manufacturing related numbers are a problem as temporary workers are being counted in the service industry always even when working in the manufacturing industry in a manufacturing function! It is the same with the construction count!
