Hi people.

I really like Cisco BUT,

I think this sucker is setting us up for one hell of a tumble tonight...

I saw this ridiculous inglated expectations syndrome on the Qcom thread a while back, and look what happened to them..

Since Y2k was a bit of a bump in the road (read NT & LU's speedbump) in the "enterprise segment", and my own experience with the "freeze" in cisco deployments at the big accounts I worked at, I expect Cisco to come in at .24
on slighly lower revenu numbers than usual (less than their stellar 40%)

If that happens (very likely IMO), watch out below for a couple of weeks...

I really should sell at these prices , but I just love the company, and I do not want to pay the taxes I would owe.

So I will buy more if they "disappoint", which I think they will

I REALLY hope I am wrong, but expectations, with these ridiculous whisper numbers of .26 or higher, we are vulnerable to a hit..

JMO

take care everyone &
good luck

Jean

Nosebleed. I've got altitude sickness.
PE 213, P/Sales 32, Book value $3.57, Market Cap 427.87 billion.

But I know. It's different this time. It's like an auction where a company is worth what ever Joe Daytrader is willing to pay today with his funny money.

It isn't different. Eventually, every stock will trade for the present value of future cash flow.

These aren't Pokemon cards.

Have you seen the Nortel ads comparing their price with Cisco's? Will Cisco's margins be under pressure?
Is a router so complicated as to present a significant entry barrier?

Yes. I am short.
