John or anyone,

Help me out here. Trying to get handle on how utilization rates affect inventories. If
utilization or refinery rates were up to 87% and all other factors being equal wouldn't
that just mean a corresponding increase in gas and distillates to offset the decline in crude?

In other words why are refineries % important to monitor? What is the implication?

Thanks,

John,

RE: refinery utilization, could you explain a little more on how you get implied throughput for the week. I appreciate it.
