NEW YORK, Feb 9 PRNewswire-AsiaNet - People from all over India auctioning off their personal items over the Internet? According to Harvard graduates Rajesh Yerasi and Sumit Kapur, it will happen and it will happen soon. They recently launched TeriMeri.com and already Indians from across the subcontinent are using their site to post items for sale and look for bargains.

TeriMeri.com is a Web-based service over which Indians can buy and sell all types of items, including such items as antiques, books, cars, coins, computers, movies, music, and real estate. The service allows sellers to list items for sale, buyers to bid on items of interest, and all users to browse through items in a fully-automated and easy-to-use online format that's available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.

Users can trade within their own cities or with users in entirely different areas. The service includes an online rating and feedback system to help build trust between users over time and is being provided entirely free.

"We're very excited to start this service," said Rajesh Yerasi, Co-Founder of TeriMeri. "Indians love to find a good deal, and TeriMeri makes this possible for anybody, anywhere, anytime. TeriMeri automates the bargaining process that is part of everyday life in India."

Regarding TeriMeri's future growth, TeriMeri's other Co-Founder, Sumit Kapur, sounded a bullish note, "With the number of internet users poised to increase from 1.5 million to over 6 million this year alone, the Internet revolution is just beginning in India. TeriMeri will be at the forefront of this revolution."

TeriMeri launched its service on January 27th and has already gained over 1,000 registered users. TeriMeri is promoting its service through a variety of media and is also currently offering a drawing for 100 King George gold coins. TeriMeri will give away the first of these gold coins on February 15th. Individuals can enter the drawing by registering at terimeri.com.

TeriMeri.com was founded by Rajesh Yerasi and Sumit Kapur. Both are graduates of Harvard University and former investment bankers at J.P. Morgan & Co. The Company is currently located in New York City but is in process of relocating to India. For more information, contact info@terimeri.com.
