I certainly cannot offer you any words of wisdom on this subject.

Quite honestly, I think that the question of what will transpire with the long bond and what will ultimately end up taking its place given where we are at this point, is some thing that is rather up in the air.

I have heard a couple of view-points expressed by those who are experts in this arena -- and they don't seem to be in agreement.

For those of us who trade the bonds, it would be unfortunate if it went by the way-side, though I have no doubt some other instrument will end up taking its place.
