If TWX decides to go with a rival bid from GE, wouldn't TWX being paying the break-up fee to AOL? It is my understanding that the rejected suitor gets the break-up fee if the deal isn't consumated. Witness the recent agreement that Pfizer will pay American Home Products for breaking up AHP's deal with Warner-Lambert.

Rascal: Dont let your fingers get ahead of your mind!! IF TWX went with another entity OTHER than AOL it would be TWX paying the breakup fee IF ANY not AOL. Personally, I dont see GE buying into this at all. jdn
