I suspect BS told Ericy to produce a QUALITY product. They had a chance to compare performance at the show last fall and I suspect they didn't measure up in the RF sensitivity or transmit output power area. Ericy wouldn't necessarily have had the background to produce a G* sat phone using CDMA technology nor have the background to produce test equipment for testing the phones after they were built. Doubtless the phones would have been a very fine GSM cell phone.
