<<<<<next, take a look below the cache settings at the three settings pertaining to how often the document in cache is compared to the doc on network. the middle option ('every time') is selected on mine. again, feel free to change these settings to see if it makes a diference. remember to click 'ok' after change.>>>>> Mark: Changed this to "every time" and it seems to correct the problem so far. :-) I also must say to you that since I removed Norton Systemworks from my computer, the number of times I crash has been reduced to zero. It used to bum out about 2 times per hour. The bootup time has been cut in half. Being a neophyte, maybe I didn't know how to operate it properly. Will reinstall when I get more courage.
