LPS5, My $0.02 A session such as you describe would be useful, but it seems to me the confusion goes beyond the "pending initiative". Before someone fields a lot of questions based on the sketchy information that is out there now, they ought to take the trouble to write a plain language explanation of what the existing rules are for both cash and margin accounts, with an extensive set of examples to cover all the possibilities. Then use that as a basis for explaining how the proposed new rule will change things. Questions and answers handled in that context will be far more effective than ones based on the confusion created by the apparent inconsistencies that now exist in the implementation of these rules by the brokers.
