Of course you are right. I'm sure Frank is delighted that you've come out of the woodwork. Your posts have a high value/word ratio. But I think that you may be so far ahead of the crowd that you aren't noticing how primitive most of the cable world is in comparison to those who are just barely keeping up, as would be the case with Bend Cable (as I'm learning). But at least they are keeping up. Sm:)e.

Thanks for the discussion of QAM, I learned something there.

As regards how primitive things are, all I can reflect upon is that the vast majority of Internet users are still on DUN, and the 3Com CMX cable modem I use is brilliant in comparison.

Re: And the Internet on cable modems is most likely provided by HSA or one of the other standard cable ISPs.
