The only thing is that they might not design for cycle time, with a long pipeline as Scumbria likes. Maybe they prefer a short pipeline, longer cycle time, but more work, or logic done per cycle. Looks like IBM and Apple lean that way.

We should start to see some Itanium benchmarks, to put up against Sun's, or do they not come out until the product is released? Do you know, or maybe Elmer, our benchmark champion, what are the "rules" about coming out with them on new products.
