>> Does anyone have a summary of the Conference Call?

Hopefully, someone will post one. I was out tooling around in the new 4X4 and missed the call.

>> Did earnings really come in at .13 vs. .10?

Absolutely! It was a great report. Enjoy.

The most substantive news from the cc pertains to Henry's vision for the e book. He outlined the proprietary nature of both the Rocket and the Softbook and the fact that they cannot be hacked in volume, the text is always encripted and is device specific so that it is virtually theft-proof. He says once the public realizes the portability and the environmental friendliness of the e book the manufacturers will be able to lower the unit cost as volume production sets in. The publishers are already embracing the e book as it has potential to reduce their production costs up to 50%! He admitted a chicken or egg issue as titles are not yet available and e book price is out of reach of average book reader. He assurred us that will change very quickly as manufacturers, readers, and publishers understand the e book WILL happen. He was very excited. You could hear it in his voice.
He referred to e book as the company's 3rd home run. (vcr plus and epg are the first two)
