I watched much (well part) of a TV show tonight called the "Sitcom Scandles". It was behind the scenes interviews of M.A.S.H. and the Love Boat. The relevance here is that it was a "TV-GUIDE Presents" kind of show. It seems that TV production is also in this mix somewhere.

henry said ad revs for this quarter were $800k...if memory serves me right they were about 500k last quarter up from around 350k. now i know that 800k is not an awesome amount...however 60% and accelerating sequential quarterly growth is awesome at any amount.

unclewest,

I went back and checked my numbers. From the 10K, they had 150k of advertising revenues in FY99. I think it's fair to say this all occurred in 4Q99. According to a The Street.com article, they had $400k in 2Q00, and now they announce $800k in 3Q00. I don't have the numbers for 1Q00, but let's just say it was around $225k.

This would mean they've had sequential growth in advertising revenue of 50%, 67%, and 100% over the past three quarters.

I agree completely with you about your conclusions. It's starting from a small base, but once more epgs are deployed, and more ad space gets used, and perhaps the ad rates go up, the result will be exponential growth.

Is this correct Unclewest? I had a vague recollection that the previous add rev. were on the order of $100K. I tried to find my reference on this but couldn't.

This for me is the key value to track since when I modeled them last year it was apparent in the long run the ad revenues greatly outweigh the licensing revenues.

No matter what the increase here is the type of signal I was looking for.

hello unclewest

I agree completely. The most important figure is the growth of the ad revenues. Now with the addition of the e-books we are holding a great stock. This is going to be a great cost savings for students with their text books and a huge money maker for stock holders.

In regard to the stock direction today, if we are worried about the short term,it seems to be institutional selling by looking at Thompson I-Watch. With an upgrade and a good conference call we should have had a little better support. I think we are going to be stuck in the dreaded trading range syndrome for a while.

The general public does not have a clue on this stock. What GMST needs is NY STEW to be the front man.

Mike, I believe you got back on the bus. Can you send me a PM on what is going on?

Best of luck
Don
