Do you think Intel will do another vapor release.

I think the vapor strategy backfired BIG time.

They caused huge demand for the 800's and had to reduce prices on what they could actually ship.

They also screwed up Dell who sells to high end bleeding edge folks. Folks typically buy very large percentage of leading edge stuff from Dell. Couple that with the rambus fiasco and Intel did a number on Dell.

Sure would be funny if Intel repeats this fiasco again.

Also AMD may pull off a double announcement on Monday.

They may launch the 850 and announce the 900's for delivery within 30-40 days.

I sure hope Otellini is in charge of the Intel response team again.

If Intel does go this route, it will be interesting to see if Dell wants to go the embarrassing "will ship in 30 days" routine - again!
