If you were holding AAPL when it dropped to 12 amid merger/sale rumors and then decided to sell it...you would be kicking yourself now.

I know this might be old strategy in light of the internet stock mindset, but "buy and hold" may not be a bad idea here.

Close your eyes and ignore it for 6 months.

A year and a half ago MOT was languishing in the low 40's/high 30's for over 6 months...this week it hit 160.

And...you really have a short memory if you don't recall when AOL went to the universal $19.95 pricing scheme, had massive server and overload problems and the stock promptly dropped to $20 a share and stayed there for the next few months.

You and Jay should be congratulated for divulging that you have sold. That is pretty tough to do for most. It's the thing that makes you strong. Always remember that you don't have to own anything. It's elective. There's always something better to buy in the future, so you should never regret what you could have gotten.
