The story about Don W. being in the shoe sales business has been going around for a long time, but it's false. The fact is that he runs his business out of an office located in the back end of his parents' boot shop. I've seen it on TV and it's not very big or elaborate, but it serves the purpose. He probably doesn't know a sneaker from a cowboy boot - except maybe which manufacturer is the better investment.
