Gary,
COMS fiscal year ends May 28. That would make FY Q4 from March to May and FY Q1 June thru August. But that doesn't have much of anything to do with when the PALM IPO is going to happen. If your supposition is that PALM will IPO before COMS's FY end, then they would have 'till May 28. The 3rd amendment to the S-1 is in though, so I doubt you'll have to wait that long. Underwriters are targeting end of Feb and there's not much reason to doubt them.

Geeez, Gary!!

Why do you think we're all drooling? COMS is only selling 7% of PALM, and that includes the shares to the big 3! That's why we're all talking wacko numbers. :)

Andre

>>The company said it will net $320.7 million from the offering and will net another $225 million from private placements by AOL MOT and NOK.<<

So the only question is do we know how much the big 3 pay for each share? My guess is that they could pay between $10~$16. I have experienced paying $8 for a startup company at its last series ~$15mil private equity funding (around 6 months before IPO) and got $12 initial offering price. Usually the earlier funding for a startup cost much less because they bear more risk.

PALM is a spin-off so I think the big 3 may pay the IPO price. IMHO, 80% or 93% won't affect the PALM's trading price and it will still blast off.
