This screen of companies on the Nas that I picked up is starting to show some interesting results in just a week. Applied Microcircuits, AMCC, has gone up 50% this week!. Here is their profile:

Applied Micro Circuits develops, manufactures
and markets high performance and
high-bandwidth silicon solutions for the
communications markets. For the 9 months
ended 12/31/99, revenues increased 51% to
$115.3M. Net income totalled $28M, up from
$13.8M. Revenues reflect unit growth in
shipments of existing products. Net income
also benefited from higher gross margins due
to increased utilization.

They have a market cap of about 14 Billion, and they are making money. Since they are advancing well against the German Army, and MCLD, another Nas top 25, has gone down during this rally, and is not advancing against the Germans, I think I will take troops from MCLD tomorrow and reinforce AMCC.

Interesting, my wife's favorite feature on her "new" 1997 Continental is the tissue holder in the overhead console. She criticizes my F250 because it doesn't have one. Can you imagine a tissue holder in a he-man truck?
