HDR needs to find a home in data only networks such that the now bankrupt C block spectrum owning companies have tied up in court.Otherwise it might be difficult to get carrier's to accept the technology as they are still voice centric.

Considering that the FCC is trying its damndest to keep NWave from getting its spectrum, are you kind of pessimistic on the real-world outlook for HDR in the near term (thru 2001)? Given that carriers can implement HDR selectively on narrow 1.25MHz channels, I thought that was supposed to be a big point in winning them over to implement data even as they are addicted to voice revs.

Would HDR work over the paging spectrum? It is two way now and data only. I have noticed a lot of interest over PageNet lately and there are rumors of QCOM being interested in buying it. All the paging companies are being bought up or bid up currently. What do you think of this possibility?
