Being in the business it's still sickening when I'm contracted to build these large custom homes on beautiful property with huge trees that took hundreds of years to grow and the owners, without much thought, wants them down. The big yellow hydraulic monsters take them down in just minutes. What a waste of God's work.

wstera02...
well, the game here is ...new development floods out the old homes, forcing people to sell. Government money pays for this. City comes in and rezones it for Industrial.
City fights to NOT to give money to the schools, families get mad and move. Mayor wants Industrial parks, hotels, condos and a casino.
People do not. Mayor sways council but one. Citizens start to get mad when they show up to public hearings and speak against things and then see council vote against the people.
.
We just moved to this community, and the first thing we noticed was the APATHY running rampant "well, there's nothing we can do about it!" Things are going to change here, starting Monday. A tip of my hat to you for considering buying those 4 acres. Our 2.5 acres had NO trees on it when we bought it, we are planting trees as fast as we can!
