QUALCOMM soared in 1999 over 2600 percent and is beginning to show that was only the warm up for the long term. This stock is still capturing the imagination of the largest institutions and mutual funds buying up the shares as others shed there shares to lock in these huge profits. The market is telling us that we should be buying this mammoth gorilla that is destined to be the monolith of the next decade. The astounding 24 fold increase in the last twelve months has not dampened the enthusiasm of the big funds. Some 6 Billion has been invested thus far by a record 69 large funds. The excitement ahead as these funds see it is for the huge amount of CDMA chips that will sell as wireless CDMA spreads to China and other huge markets raking in big profits from both chips and royalties.HDR will be commercialized and create a demand tornado in itself for the technology. QULACOMM should see a seventy five fold increase in net profits for the current fiscal year. The thing to keep in mind is the stock is consolidating currently from its huge move in 1999 and the consolidation is feeding the mouths of these huge leading mutual funds as the smart money buys the stock in the 130's.
