Would like to hear a comment regarding the float. I got the numbers from Yahoo! so they might not be up-to-date.

Float: 16.6 m
Short: 5.6 m
Inst. Owned: 87% or approx. 14.4 m
Other invest.: approx. 2.2 m

Let's assume (not wise to do but for simplicity's sake) that the entire short position is going to be covered.

Presumably, if the amount of stock that the institutions are willing to dump is greater than the number short shares to be covered the stock will continue to go down.

As I look at the trading today (especially the extended dumping/covering going on at 18 3/4 x 13/16) it seems obvious to me that none of the pros know what will happen in the short term (pre-earnings and CC). If there were any certainty at all the stock would be moving in some direction, not just sitting where it's been for the past three hours. Not even that slam by some guy on CNBC this morning budged it.

Q. Does anybody have a "feel" for what sort of % the institutions would sell following BF's new guidance? Anyone remember by what % did institutional ownership decline during previous sell-offs?
