Considering the source, I'd say that the Gartner Group is fishing for customers.

Looks like your opinion of Gartner is quite different from mine. They started consulting and commenting on mainframes years ago, when that's all there was. They later expanded to analyzing the client/server and the other computing areas when they had to. Do you find them weak overall, in client/server, or what?
