GE Medical forms information technology unit

NEW YORK, Aug 31 (Reuters) - GE Medical Systems, a unit of General Electric Co.
(NYSE:GE - news), said on Thursday it created a new information technologies business to help health-care providers better manage clinical information and images.

The $1 billion new operation, GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, will provide a range of services including
cardiology, radiology, patient-monitoring and clinical-information systems, and performance-management services, the company said in a statement.
