Yea! (i.e. Siebel) ... now what? <g> Gee I was going to sell a little.. guess your not supposed to do that according to Moore no? <g> I can't use the stuff for wall paper gosh darn it! Mike, quick (!), take your mantle off of Siebel's head for another week so I can sell some and not feel so guilty about selling 'the GORILLA' of CRM!!

>> Understanding that, you'll be quite bored to learn that even I have come to the conclusion that Siebel is the Gorilla of the CRM comprehensive software suites.

Are you kidding? Bored? No way! I've been waiting for the cautious magician to declare himself for weeks.

Now rethink your position on Gemstar.

Then we'll work on NTAP <lol>.

I have come to the conclusion that Siebel is the Gorilla of the CRM comprehensive software suites.

If it would have been a snake, it would have bitten you.

So now what? Do we start worrying that the ERP vendors will be subsumed by the CRM gorilla. (wink, wink)

still, perhaps worth repeating...

Merlin--

great news re Siebel the gorilla. For newbies who might not understand the distinction and its implications, however, would you mind expounding a bit on the difference between enabling technology gorillas and applications gorillas? I mean, given some posts of yours I've read at the Fool on the subject, I don't think that even now you expect the kind of growth from Siebel that you do from some other companies. As great as Siebel is--and as grateful as I am for having gotten in it early last fall thanks to you--I would hate to have somebody leap in now thinking they were going to see Qualcommesque appreciation....
