VG: I am sure there is a kernel of truth to the nerd adoption of Linux. However before W2K has even been introduced we are asked to believe that 1/4 of the corps.that adopt it MAY have problems with certain applications not working with W2k.Whoa what a clear warning??? In addition to the ephemeral complaint by Gartner, this story is a week old and no doubt its rerelease and hyping by CNBC is part of an attempt by competitors to slow down MSFT's momentum in the market place. This was also evident in the late awakening of the European anti -trust folks. MSFT's competitors are scared out of their wits and are trying everything and anything in addition to the DOJ suit to stop MSFT.

Further, and playing right along with this FUD, is the manipulation of the big boys in attempting to engineer a better entry price and it appears they have engineered it quite nicely at the expense of weak hands.

This is a great product backed by the greatest software company on earth and those that sold at even 111 today will rue the day unless they get back in soon.JFD

Disclosure: I increased my position today by 3%. A rule that seems to work is buy MSFT below 100.

Valley Girl,
RE:"I think there's more to it than that. Remember I'm here in Silicon Valley and this tracks with the reality on the ground I'm observing with small dot-com startups."

For some reson I thought you were in the San Fernando valley.
Must have been the movie...
