I'm trying to avoid looking at BB.com discussion much since I can not biologically understand how Bob's brain can be brilliant one day, lose enough brain cells to be a blithering has- been the next and back to brilliant the day after.

So far this has been the every best description I've seen about what is happening in Brinkerland:

Well, it looks like the fish pond is being drained and the fish are scurrying to find the last pools of water.

The other "Bob," Bob Prechter, recently made these comments relating to on mass psychology in the market:

"Many people desire to belong to and be accepted by the group. Many people also have a tendency to let others think for them in fields they find intellectually difficult. These traits serve to make their unconscious minds dominate their conscious minds, especially in emotionally charged social settings."

Meanwhile, Dell is shipping Rambus memory in their new desktops, 20/20 had a piece last night on a pill, a friggin' pill, that cures cancer, Global Crossing is about to connect the world, the world, in a single secure network and Qualcomm get's a royalty from most of the newer cellphones sold and just about all of the future cell phones as well as all kinds of wireless devices that will marketed to the public, well into the foreseeable future.

My own obsession is not with overvaluation, Greenspan, Ciber, Fiber or Libor. Yes, it's still Madonna. I often wonder if she monitors the thread. Does she post? Does she use a cute alias? Will she send me a private message? I have a Valentines present, sweetheart...please, let me hear from you. I know how to reallocate assets.

A

RE: "So far the bearish call (Bob or anyone can use whatever language they prefer) is pretty much working out OK for me."

As suggested by this post,

Message 12850478

the sell signal hasn't worked too well for me yet. Unfortunately, my largest sale was in PBTCX, which has gone up the most. Thus, my actual results are worse than the table indicates. This prompts me to ask, what do you mean by, "... pretty much working out... ?" Are you better off than if you would have held?

Best wishes,

I2

re:Rydex funds.I spoke very briefly with the head of Rydex funds asking him if he intends to compete against the more levereged index fund competitors like Profunds and Potomac which were started by former Rydex people. He said he currently has 2beta S&P and NAZDAQ 100 funds (I think long and short) in registration that will have the added feature of being priced twice a day. Should be interesting options when they come out. Sounds like all the index fund companies are feeling the heat of the SPY's and QQQ's among other things

Anyone else wonder if Bob may have been referring a little to himself intentionally or not when discussing the article on Alan Greenspan at the beginning monologue on the show. For example I was struck by the quote "people lay in waiting to bring someone down who achieves cult status". Just a quick look at his BB.com discussion site and others such as this might lead one to the conclusion of both cult status and people laying in waiting to bring him down.
